During spring break in 2009, the Ministry's anti-ghost legislation left Bob stranded in Chicago, Illinois, where he found dubious refuge with his old pupil Harry Dresden (the only professional wizard in the phone book). A few months after that, a magical accident de-aged Harry, and he was sent back to Hogwarts "for his own protection". Finally, at the end of the year, the Ministry eased off enough to allow Bob to rejoin Harry at Hogwarts... just in time for the Leaving Feast.
