And that's that.

Just for clarification, is anybody actually still here?

*drifts up to the second floor; the script from his charmed quill goes all sharp with annoyance* ..Ah, how very predictable. I distinctly told Mr. Filch to leave the classroom door shut! And it looks like Peeves has already been in there. Well, that'll be another nasty mess for him to deal with when he returns. At least my skull wasn't in there this time.

I'm still here, as well as Dr. Reid. We're based out of Hogwarts.

*quite pleased, as he hasn't properly met this new TA yet* Ah! Well, that's a mercy. This old place can seem quite hollow in the summer.

..Could I prevail upon you to come up here and shut my classroom door? There'll be the devil to pay if the school cats get in here too.

This place is kind of creepy without kids around, it's nice to know someone else is here.

I'll get that door for you. Do the school cats generally take over the school during the summer?

*chuckles* Yes, well... some of us will always be here. About two thirds of the spirit population actually come with the castle; I'm one of the lucky few who doesn't.

That's very kind of you. Yes, well, they think they're the ones who really own the place, but it's harder to notice during the winter when there are students about.

I'm here, although I may leave soon. I've been too distracted to fully pack up in time.

Quite understandable. *smiles and rubs his hands briskly, though he's sad she won't be around* May your summer be fruitful and productive!

I do hope so. Will I be seeing you at the teachers' retreat, Professor Bainbridge?

*hmm, that is a question. he'd have to find someone to transport his skull, and he'd rather as few people knew about that as possible.... fortunately Spencer knows and he's still here* Yes, there's every likelihood. I'll hope to encounter you there, then!

[[I um still need to look up the information about that. XDDDDDD]]

That sounds wonderful.

[ooc: I believe all of the info we have right now is in this post. o/]

*looks around at his tiny office* Yes, it rather does.

[[Eeee, thank you! \o *hugs* If it's mandatory then Bob will definitely be going. Yay!]]

Yeah, as Beckett mentioned, we're still here for the summer. Rather nice place when there's not kids around, isn't it?

*smiles, though with Spencer around he makes a mental note to confine his Restricted Section research to the wee hours when he hopes no one will be in the library* Oh, yes. The silent, echoing corridors are to die for.

They are! It's quite pleasant. No students, no classes, endless free time to wander and think, and still 3 meals a day made by the house elves. Why on earth would I want to go back to the Ministry office in Edinburgh?

How's that research of yours coming?

True -- a veritable paradise!

......... Well, I may have discovered a few fruitful avenues of inquiry. *lies; is still at square one* It had better not have been in one of the books I burnt last year.

I must say, we don't utilize house elves in the US that much, and as much as I think it's a bit cruel, I'm very tempted to bring some back to the States with me. They cook better than my mother. Although that's not that hard, really.

Oh good! We never really got into what exactly you were researching did we? Something about breaking curses...

Trust me, it's much better for them now than it was in my day.

*stares down at the page. glances up at his skull, sitting ominously there on the shelf -- it isn't a story for the faint of heart, and possibly not one for someone whose respect Bob would rather keep afterwards... for all it's in the history books, he decides to gamble that Spence won't get interested in the notorious personalities of that particular era of wizarding history*

Hm... yes, it's, ah... one of those old mysteries that never do seem to be solved. Full of blood and gore, and obviously not appropriate for general school reading.

*You're saying this to the guy who used to love reading about serial killers as a kid... and still does*

When was it that you were alive... if you don't mind me asking that?

*yes, but did he have to be friends with any of them later? >_>*

*confound the man has he never heard of filters* ..Oh, not at all! ..If you don't mind my asking why.

*his filter is extremely faulty, sorry! XD and no.. never befriended any of the serial killers*

Curiosity mostly.

Well, then, I was born somewhere in the early fifteenth century. Dates were uncertain in those days, but Shakespeare was a late contemporary. He did shake things up with his stories of witches and sorcerers and the Lords and Ladies and their darker associates. Those were heady days in wizarding Britain.

I can imagine! When I was younger, I always wanted a time turner so I could go back in time for a while and experience life as it was several hundred years ago.

..Quite. Unfortunately the Department of Mysteries is inexplicably shirty about such bright ideas.

Understandably so, or we'd have people messing with history on a daily basis.
